GCB — Luxury Jewellery House
A premium multilingual (Arabic/English) website for a Dubai luxury jewellery and gold house established in 2007 — fully responsive, refined, and built for two reading directions.

GCB Jewellery is a Deira Gold Souq house operating since 2007, and its site carries two jobs at once: sell fine jewellery as a luxury brand, and sell investment-grade gold bars as a credible bullion dealer. The homepage sets the tone — “Where Tradition Meets Modern Elegance,” “Dubai’s Luxury Gold & Jewelry House” — and then has to earn it in both Arabic and English.
The challenge
Right-to-left is not a checkbox. Doing Arabic properly means the layout mirrors, the type renders correctly, and the design holds its composure in both directions — not an English site with the text swapped. On top of that, GCB spans two very different buyer mindsets: someone choosing an engagement ring and someone buying a 1kg gold bar at 999.5 purity. The site had to speak to both without diluting either, and stay refined down to a phone across both languages.
The approach
We built on Next.js 14 (App Router) with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS v4, driving the bilingual experience from a dedicated lib/ translations-and-context layer so Arabic and English render from one codebase with full RTL mirroring. The design leans on generous whitespace and a calm palette that lets the pieces carry the page. We treated the bullion side with the seriousness it needs — LBMA standards and ISO-certified refinery references stated plainly — so the investment story reads as trustworthy rather than promotional. Deployment is configured for Netlify.
What we built
- A full Arabic/English language toggle with end-to-end RTL layout mirroring, powered by a translations/context module in
lib/ - The Collections experience covering the house’s core lines — Wedding & Engagement, the Heritage Collection of traditional Arabic designs, and Custom Creations
- A dedicated Gold Bars section for investment-grade bullion (999.5 purity, 1g to 1kg) with LBMA and ISO-certified refinery positioning
- A Gold Investment Program module that frames bullion as an investment product, not just a catalog item
- Compliance and trust pages the bullion side demands — AML, Compliance, Risk, plus privacy, terms, and legal — built out as their own routes
- A Souq-grounded Contact section with the physical showroom (Gold House Building, Deira Gold Souq) and direct line
The outcome
GCB now presents online with the same polish as the house itself, in both of its markets, handling fine jewellery and serious bullion buyers on one site. Multilingual, responsive, luxury-grade — the kind of careful front-end work we apply to every brand we build for.
