GamePlay Kampala Limited is a licensed Ugandan gold mining company, and its site has one job: present a serious exploration business to serious people. The hero sets the tone — “Uganda’s Next Gold Chapter,” with the mission of becoming a “leading intermediate gold producer driving responsible and profitable mining” — and the rest of the site earns it with substance rather than spectacle.

The challenge

A resource company is read by investors, partners, and regulators who are looking for credibility, not marketing gloss. The site had to communicate the core asset — the Kanungu Exploration Block, a 185 sq km licensed area in Kanyantotogo Sub County with an estimated 6M+ oz resource — and the company’s disciplined, phased plan. It also needed to carry the licensing and verifiable detail that diligence demands, plus room for sustainability commitments, financial reporting, and current news. The difficulty is making all of that legible without burying the story or making it feel thin.

The approach

We built the site on Next.js 16 and React with Tailwind CSS v4, using Framer Motion for restrained, purposeful motion that supports the content instead of competing with it (the live site is the source of truth; it was assembled well beyond the Next.js starter it began from). We structured the narrative around the three development phases so a first-time visitor understands where the company is and where it’s going within a single scroll, then gave the supporting sections their own clear homes. The build is statically exported for fast, reliable delivery. The design language stays institutional throughout.

What we built

  • A hero presenting the Kanungu Exploration Block — 185 sq km, an estimated 6M+ oz resource, sharing mineralised veins with Eastern Congo’s proven gold belt
  • A three-phase roadmap laid out plainly: Phase 1 Systematic Exploration (completed), Phase 2 Mining Lease Acquisition (in progress, extending rights to 21 years), Phase 3 Development & Production (planned)
  • A credentials block carrying the verifiable specifics — Exploration License EL00264 and Mineral Dealer License MDL20260634, plus company registration
  • An Investor Relations area with Financial Reporting and a Strategic Roadmap 2030, structured for scrutiny
  • A Sustainability section backing the “low-cost, environmentally responsible producer” positioning
  • A Press / News section and Executive/Board information so the company reads as a real, governed business

The outcome

The result is a corporate site that holds up to due diligence. It’s the kind of credible business web design that lets a company be taken at its word, whatever the sector.
